For the last 18 years, Finance Day, organized by BIO Deutschland member Going Public, has been dedicated to startup-, growth- and capital market financing in the life sciences sector.

This year the event was held in Leipzig for the first time on October 24th and 25th. André Hofmann, Managing Director and CEO of biosaxony, and Markus Rieger, CEO of Going Public, welcomed around 150 participants to BIOCITY Leipzig. Presentations, discussion panels and startup pitches offered insights into the industry. Karin Hofelich, Head of Publishing Life Sciences, had invited BIO Deutschland to lead the panel discussion titled “How to…? Successful locals and flagships from all over Germany reveal their secrets to success”.

Anne-Kristin Heninger, Head of Operations, Founder and Managing Director of Seamless Therapeutics, Ben Orzelek, Senior Director, Head of Treasury & Investor Relations of ITM Isotope Technologies Munich, Jens Ruhe, COO and Founder of SciRhom, and Marc Struhalla, CEO and Founder of c-LEcta, spoke about their companies’ beginnings, their financing rounds, their business models, and their plans for the future. An entertaining evening event and a tour of the BIOCITY on the following day rounded off the program.
