A good idea, some seed funding, a great team of people. These are all must-haves for start-ups – but at some point you need more. Eight young companies from around the world are now getting that crucial support from the life science accelerator MEDICAL FORGE LEIPZIG.

In April 2024 the accelerator welcomed its third batch of start-ups to Leipzig for the kick-off to a year of learning and growing. The teams took part in an intensive workshop program, but also had time to network at an after-work event hosted by Leipzig’s BIO CITY community. MEDICAL FORGE LEIPZIG will be connecting the start-ups with reliable partners who will stand by their side on their journey into the healthcare market.

More than 50 global start-ups and SMEs had pitched their ideas to the accelerator, with eight finalists making the cut. Some of the things these innovators hope to achieve include optimizing ventilator patient care using AI, diagnosing fatty liver disease with a blood test, and developing infectious disease self-tests for home use.
