This start-up decided to up its offices and move to Leipzig after being launched abroad. Why? Some compelling reasons were:

  • Support from Leipzig’s SpinLab, which has been ranked as one of Europe’s top start-up accelerators. The program partners with the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and works with more than 25 corporations to support its mentees. The accelerator also offers participants contact with well-known European investment firms, up to 15,000 Euros in free funding, and 24/7/365 access to a coworking space in Leipzig’s historic cotton mill.
  • As a university city with many young and well-educated professionals from different disciplines, Leipzig was a clear win for the start-up.

With contacts around the world, the company’s executives also appreciate Leipzig’s status as a central air and rail hub. And their team enjoys the city’s vibrant scene and green-and-blue environs.

“Leipzig gives us the freedom and capacity to develop digital solutions which have a very high relevance for society,”

say mementor
co-founders Dr. Noah Lorenz and Alexander Rötger. “Our top-trained team really feels at home here, so if we had to do it all over, we would choose Leipzig again,” confirm co-founders Jan Kühni and Daniel Rotzetter.

With proven digital solutions like somnio, the first ‘app on prescription’ for the treatment of insomnia and sleep disorders, mementor is breaking new ground for patients who may not have access to effective and secure science-based digital therapies.

mementor GmbH

Founded in Switzerland in 2014, mementor re-located to Leipzig in 2020. In 2022, the company was acquired by ResMed, a pioneer in the development of digital solutions for sleep and ventilation therapy, mainly in out-of-hospital settings. Together, the partners will be providing more people with access to products like somnio and developing further digital solutions. Visit us at www.mementor.de
